I think that the Disney character that I'm most like would have to be Aladdin. I'm not sure if this is because it was my favorite Disney movie as a child or because he is my favorite Disney character, but I think I am most like him. Aladdin is a very kind young man. He is really adventurous and is thankful for what he has. He learns from his mistakes and learns to respect Jasmine. I always thought that was important because my dad always told me to respect girls. He learns to not be selfish and prideful. I think he is a really great character.

I think that everybody did really well on their posters today. I really enjoyed being able to see many posters and what people decided to do their paper on. Food is such a broad topic so it is very interesting to see what people come up with. I did mine on energy drinks as many of you know. I learned a lot that I didn't know and found this to be a good experience.

One thing that drives me nuts is when I can't eat what I want too. I couple of months ago I got my wisdom teeth taken out and boy was that quite the experience. I quickly found that eating was almost a chore. The only times I hated eating were when I was really really sick and now. But the eating limitations are worse for wisdom teeth. You can't eat things that are hot and basically everything that sick people can't eat too. I think during this week and a half it was the most I had ever ate apple sauce, juice, jello, and pudding. By the end of this torture I was so glad to go back to normal food. I quickly appreciated normal food but that didn't last very long.

Personally, I love fast food. I don't know why, but I do. When I was young my parents weren't really big fast food fans but when we did go to McDonalds or Wendy's I loved it. I remember it was always a fun activity. My brother and I would spend what seemed like hours playing in the indoor playplace. Crawling through the tubes and throwing those plastic balls at each other in the ball pits. Honestly, I don't really remember the food except for the fact that I always got chicken nuggets, but I remember playing with my toy I got in my meal and enjoying the playplace. Now, obviously, I don't go for the entertainment but I do like some of their food. I love Wendy's burgers and McDonald's fries. I guess for a college student it is really easy. Cheap, fast, and tastes great. I would have to say though, that those fast food restaurants really have an amazing marketing strategy. How they make you enjoy it as a child and those great memories bring you back as an adult. They really have got it made.

Honestly, I could eat cold cereal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I love the stuff. As long as I can remember we always had cold cereal in my house. I would have to say the my favorite cereal is Captain Crunch, and don't forget the crunch berries too. Those are great. My mom always knew that I loved the really sugary cereal and I swear every time she bought cereal she would always throw in a box of shredded wheat or some gross cereal like that. Nobody ever ate those in my house but eventually you would get stuck eating it. The thing is, those random boxes of healthy cereal always added up in the cupboard. You would just open it and there would be like 8 boxes of the shunned cereal; raisin bran, grape nuts, shredded wheat, rice crispies, basically nothing with sugar. I guess you could say I was addicted to sugar as a kid. Over the years as I, being the only one, would eat those cereals, I began to actually like them. They really aren't that bad. Maybe my body just wants to be healthier. I don't really know. But what I do know is that I love almost all cold cereals.

"One word...Ambrosia"

Sweets are all around us. Sometimes we would do anything just for that one bite of chocolate. I know that when I crave sweets and candy, the first thing my mind thinks of are Reese's peanut butter cups. For me, one word describes Reese's....ambrosia. I love that mouth watering sensation from biting into a peanut butter cup and that amazing peanut butter flavor which feels so smooth on your tongue. Reese's are my favorite candy. Ever since I was a little kid every Christmas, Easter, birthday, any special occasion, I would get these peanut butter cups. I swear, it has to be genetic. As long as I can remember my dad always snacked on Reese's. The best times were when we were watching a great movie and eating a bag of Reese's. That's right, we had to get the bags because the little two and four packs were just not enough. I think they put something in the peanut butter because I'm addicted.

As I woke up this morning I was thinking about what to write my blog on. Also, for some random reason, I was craving the good old-fashioned oatmeal. You might say, what a weird craving. I know it's a little weird since many people don't like oatmeal but I just wanted a bowl right then and there. As long as I can remember my mom used to make oatmeal for my brothers and sister everyday before school. I remember concentrating my milk with brown sugar until I had a dark brown milk and then gobbling it all down. Now that I think about it, I was almost excited every morning to go and eat my oatmeal. Along with regular oatmeal I also enjoyed the microwavable packets too. Those were almost better. I became so used to eating the packets that I could just pour the packet into a bowl of milk and eat it without even heating it up. I don't know why, but I did. I haven't really been able to eat my brown soup anymore now that I'm in college, along with the fact that I don't have my wonderful mother there to cook me any, but every now and then I still get that same craving that I can remember as a kid.
